Investors/ Non Owner Occupied Property Owners needing Loan
The Dept. of Commerce has made some major changes to mortgage financing. One area in particular relates to how Non Owner Occupied Properties are financed. Chapter 58 defines a residential mortgage loan as one made primarily for personal, family and household use. Loans on 1 -4 family dwellings that are NOT OWNER Occupied would not be covered by  chapter 58. The Dept. of Commerce has stated that a loan originator needs to carry a limited broker license under Ch. 82 that are not covered by Ch. 58.
